First released in 1994, Slim Westerns took the genre of ambient and applied it to the big western landscape. Inspired by an imaginary idea of America as found in films and fiction, from Wiseblood to Blood Simple, Flannery O'Connor to Cormac McCarthy.

A long lost ambient clasic.

A Small Good Thing were Andrew Hulme (OYC), Tom Fazzini & Mark Sedgwick (Purr). They released five albums in the 90s book ended by Slim Westerns volumes 1 and 2 (on Soleilmoon and Leaf respectively)
