OYC's debut album, originally released in 1984 in an edition of 500 on the obscure a-mission label in Leeds. It's been highly sought after ever since and is reissued for the first time on Emotional Rescue in digital and on limited run vinyl.

Scene In Mirage marked a huge turning point for the very young OYC (they were only 19 when they recorded it). Uniquely one side is electronic (E side) whilst the other (O side) is 'organic' sounds. It was this experimentation that sent them away from their roots in electronic music and into the 'fourth world' that they became known for.

Recorded in five days in the summer of 1984, Scene In Mirage is presented here with additional tracks that were only available on the cassette version.

Bonus track 'Tracey' is not on the vinyl version.
